Kristopher Dillard

Kristopher Dillard, Senior Compliance Manager at National Housing Compliance (NHC), has a track record of turning complex regulatory requirements into practical, scalable operational workflows that reduce risk, strengthen compliance, and support organizational growth.
In his current role at NHC, Kristopher provides compliance monitoring and asset oversight under the organization’s HUD performance-based contract. He helps ensure regulatory requirements, contract deliverables, and performance standards are met while overseeing operational risk, resident concern resolution, process improvement, and training across HUD, Section 8, LIHTC, RAD, public housing, HOME, and related programs.
Previously, as Director of Compliance for an apartment management organization, Kristopher led compliance strategy across a portfolio of more than 5,000 property management units spanning over 20 jurisdictions. He transformed compliance into a more proactive function, using data analytics, dashboards, and risk-tracking tools to identify emerging issues, strengthen controls, and improve audit performance. His leadership helped reduce compliance violations by 40%, streamline audits by 30%, improve audit outcomes by 25%, and cut reporting errors by 50%. He also supported more than $500 million in portfolio expansion without compliance disruptions and advised executive leadership on regulatory risk, market entry, and acquisition activity.
Earlier in his career, when he held compliance specialist and client services manager roles, Kristopher built the technical foundation for his progression into senior compliance leadership. He developed deep expertise in complex regulatory issues, audits, and process improvement while helping leadership strengthen workflows and standard operating procedures.
Kristopher holds multiple NAHMA credentials, including Certified Occupancy Specialist, Tax Credit Specialist, Blended Occupancy Specialist, and Enterprise Income Verification Specialist.
He earned a BA in anthropology from the University of Florida.
